This is our third vintage of the wine we call Cuvee Blanc. It has been carefully crafted to be an intensely flavoured exploration of what is possible by blending complimentary aromatic grapes. The goal was to produce a unique style of aromatic white blend with great personality, aromatic complexity and mouthfeel. Pale to lightly golden in colour, the wine opens with complex aromas of rose petal, jasmine and citrus zest. On the palate, the wine is full, rich, and seductive with intense floral and citrus notes in addition white peach. The potent aromatics and rich texture make this wine truly memorable.
Body: light
Recommended food pairings: Perfect for spicy Asian food, west coast cuisine, and patio sipping on a warm, sunny day. Serve lightly chilled at 12-15C.
Winemaker: Jeff Del Nin
Growing conditions: The 2013 growing season was one of the best in the past two decades. The vines budded in late April and we had very warm consistent weather all the way through the growing season until September and October. There were a few challenges with hail in the warmer months and an intense period of rain in September, but the momentum and quality in the season could not be denied and we ended up picking some varietals 3-4 weeks earlier than normal. We feel that our wines from 2013 will be exceptional across the board.
Winemaking notes: The grapes for this wine were picked from our vineyards in the South Okanagan Valley on October 1st & 9th, 2013. The fruit was hand picked, hand sorted, whole-bunch pressed, and fermented slowly at cooler temperatures to ensure maximum retention of delicate aromatics. The wine was clarified, stabilized and bottled on April 15, 2014. 567 cases produced.
